Abstract

Juvenile delinquency is a complex social phenomenon and often raises concerns in society. A criminal psychological review of juvenile delinquent behavior opens a window into a deeper understanding of the causal factors and impacts. Internal and external factors including family environment, peers, education, as well as individual factors such as personality and self-concept are the main focus in understanding juvenile delinquency from a criminal psychology perspective. This article then aims to deepen the behavioral patterns of juvenile delinquency from a criminal psychological perspective. Literature studies are used to collect information from various literature sources that are relevant to understanding and researching the phenomenon of juvenile delinquency from a criminal psychology perspective. The findings show that unbalanced parenting patterns, a non-conducive school environment, and pressure from peers can trigger negative behavior in adolescents. At the individual level, the impact of juvenile delinquent behavior can include potentially damaging psychological, emotional, and social consequences. Prevention and rehabilitation efforts can then be carried out holistically to reduce levels of juvenile delinquency and promote better social welfare.
